In recent years, the prevalence of heart attacks has risen dramatically. The Indian Heart Association reports that the urban population is three times more vulnerable than those living in rural, with 50% of all heart attacks in Indians occurring in those under the age of 50 and 25% occurring in those under the age of 40.
